PROJECT TITLE:
An examination of the feasibility acceptability and effectiveness of a training intervention for eating disorders
CLINICAL ACADEMIC GROUP:
Obesity & eating Disorders
START & FINISH DATES:
2018 -Sept 2020
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:.
This involved to proof on concept studies of a app based go no go training intervention for binge spectrum disorder.
What this research has shown.
We found that the augmentation of treatment as usual with the app reduced binge eating and the valuation of high calorie food in the short term
Implications
The app based training has the potential to improve outcomes from binge eating in the longer term. We are applying to the NIHR for money to do a larger treatment study.
