Raising funds for research into all aspects of mental illness and brain disorder

Mental illness and brain disorders affect everyone - One in four of us directly.

Mental illness and brain disorders affect one in four people at some point in their lives, causing distress to sufferers, families, and friends regardless of age.

The Psychiatry Research Trust's aim is to raise funds for research at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (KCL) and its associated Mental Health Trust (South London & Maudsley Foundation Trust). They seek better treatments and understanding of the underlying causes, with the goal of prevention and cure.

They support young scientists researching various mental health topics, spanning across the lifespan, including Autism, Hyperactivity, Eating Disorders, Addiction, Motor Neurone Disease, Depression, Schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's Disease. Mental illness and brain disorders are more common than assumed, affecting individuals of all ages in some way.
